Ethiopian Electric Power has signed two agreements worth $4 billion, to build two geothermal power plants, to be run by the country’s first privately-owned utility. The two plants - Corbetti and Tulu Moye - will produce a combined 1,000MW of power upon completion in eight years’ time.

UK’s export finance available to Ethiopia has increased to £200 million, to support UK - Ethiopia bilateral trade. Earlier in the year the Government announced that after the UK leaves the European Union, Ethiopian companies will enjoy duty-free access to the British market for all sectors except arms.
