Dr. Tilaye Gete, Ethiopia's Minister of Education, attended the Education World Forum in London in January where he shared his views on global contemporary strategic problems and issues in education, and highlighted Ethiopia’s education and training road map study.

Ethiopia and UK emphasise partnership at Education World Forum
On 14th November, Ambassador Hailemichael and the Head of Diaspora Affairs, visited the University of Manchester to explore the many links the University and Ethiopia share, and discuss future opportunities. The Ambassador also met the very first batch of students from Ethiopia to be awarded the university’s Equity and Merit Scholarship.

On 13th November, parliamentarians, diplomats, investors, business people, the Diaspora and friends of Ethiopia, gathered for the annual parliamentary dinner at the Embassy, aimed at highlighting the recent political and economic reforms in Ethiopia, including the recent elevation of women to top government posts.

Annual Parliamentary dinner recognises Ethiopia’s latest developments
Ambassador Hailemichael Aberra Afework, was guest speaker at the launch of the book, Harnessing Nanotechnoloy for Sustainable Development, written by a selection of scholars, with Dr Hailemichael T. Demissie of Gondar University as the lead author. The launch was held at Kings College London, where Dr Demissie was a student.
