Ethiopia has lifted the State of Emergency that was declared in October after hearing a report by the command post secretariat established to look after its implementation and about the current state of peace and stability in the country.

Ethiopia has appointed an Honorary Consul for Scotland for the very first time. As Honorary Consul, Professor Struthers will assist Ethiopia in its efforts to increase its links with Scotland.
The people and government of Ethiopia are greatly saddened by the barbarous killing of innocent Ethiopian Christians in Libya. Ethiopia strongly condemns the killings, even more so when they were supposedly committed in the name of religion.
