Ethiopian Airlines has successfully completed a new passenger terminal at its hub Bole International Airport with emphasis on Bio Security and Bio Safety measures. The new terminal is the first in the world to be completed after Covid-19. It was designed, not re-purposed, with Bio safety and Bio security in mind.

COVID-19 Update: Resumption of Visa Services
Some amendments have been made to the State of Emergency in response to the current situation of COVID-19 in Ethiopia. All travellers arriving at Bole International Airport who have a certificate of negative COVID-19 test done up to 72 hours before arrival will be required to self-quarantine at home for 14 days.

COVID-19 Travel Update
As country and travel restrictions begin to ease, Ethiopian Airlines are resuming operations on many of their routes for business and leisure travel. From Heathrow a daily non-stop evening departure to Addis Ababa is operating and from 2nd July, the 3-times weekly Manchester–Addis service resumes.

Ethiopian Airlines, has today announced the following temporary schedule adjustment to its UK flight operation. From April 1, 2020, for a period of 4 weeks, the airline has paused the 4 x weekly Manchester operation and reduced its daily operation to Heathrow to 3 x weekly (Wed/Sat/Sun).
