The main office of the Global Black History, Heritage, and Education Centre (GBHHEC) will be officially established in Addis Ababa on Friday, December 08, 2023.

Lead by Ambassador Teferi Melesse, Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Kingdom and North Ireland, a delegation of founding board members of the Global Black History, Heritage, and Education Centre (GBHHEC) landed in Addis Ababa.

Director General of Public Diplomacy Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdu Yasin, welcomed the delegation.

Ambassador Abdu Yasin, said that efforts to make Ethiopia a center of diplomacy, culture and history will continue. They also noted that the Center’s foundation in Ethiopia is another diplomatic triumph, in addition to Ethiopia’s history and its significance to the black community as a whole.

Ambassador Teferi Melesse, also mentioned that after three years of efforts, Global Black History, Heritage, and Education Centre (GBHHEC) had completed the registration process half a year ago and received international recognition.
