የአፄ ቴዎድሮስ ፀጉር ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ሊመለስ ስለመሆኑ፣

ኤምባሲያችን በተለያያ ሙዚየሞች ከመቅደላ ተወስደው ለህዝብ እይታ የቀረቡ እና ያልቀረቡ ጥንታዊ ቅርሶች  ወደ ኢትዮጵያ እንዲመለሱ ለማድረግ ዳያስፖራውን ያሳተፈ ዘርፈ ብዙ ስራዎች እቅድ ነድፎ እየተንቀሳቀሰ ይገኛል። ከነዚህ ስራዎች መካከል አንዱ በNational Army Museum ለህዝብ እይታ የቀረበውን እና እ.ኤ.አ በ1868 ዓ.ም መቅደላ ጦርነት ወቅት በእንግሊዝ ብሄራዊ ጦር ወታደሮች ተወስዶ የነበረውን የአፄ ቴወድሮስ ፀጉር ማስመለስ ይገኝበታል። ሙዚየሙ የዳግማዊ አፄ ቴዎድሮስ ፀጉር ለህዝብ እይታ ማቅረቡ የተወዳጁን ንጉስ አንፀባራቂ ታሪክ ጥላሸት የሚቀባ፣ ዜጎቻችንን የሚያስቆጣ ጉዳይ መሆኑን ለሙዚየሙ ባለስልጣናት ከማሳመን ጀምሮ ፀጉሩ ለኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዴሞክራሲያዊ ሪፐብሊክ መንግስት እንዲያስረክቡ ለማድረግ ሚሲዮኑ ከፍተኛ ጥረት ሲያደርግ ቆይቷል።

ከባለስልጣናቱ ጋር ረዘም ላለ ጊዜ ውይይት ሲደረግ ከቆየ በኋላ ሙዚየሙ የንጉሱን ፀጉር ለመመለስ ወስኗል።  ፀጉሩን ለመመለስ መወሰኑ በሁለቱ ወዳጅ አገሮች መካከል እየጎለበተ የመጣውን የመግባባት መንፈስ ከፍተኛ ደረጃ ላይ መድረሱን እንደሚያመለክት በለንደን የሚገኘው የኢፌዴሪ ኤምባሲ አስታውቋል።

በተጨማሪም እ.ኤ.አ በJanuary 29 ቀን 2007 ዓ.ም በወቅቱ የኢፌዴሪ ፕሬዝዳንት የነበሩት ክቡር ግርማ ወ/ጊዮርጊስ ለዳግማዊት ንግስት ኤልሳቤት ‘የልኡል አለማየሁ አፅም ይመለስልን’ የሚለው ጥያቄ ምላሽ እንዲያገኝ ትውልደ ኢትዮጵያዊያንን ያሳተፈ ሰፊ ዘመቻ ተጀምሯል።

ይህን አጋጣሚ በመጠቀም ሚሲዮኑ ለNational Army Museum ላሳዩት ቀና ትብብር ያለውን አክብሮት እና ምስጋና ለማቅረብ ይወዳል።

Ethiopia hosts historic World Press Freedom Day
UK Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt MP, visited Ethiopia on 2nd May, where he spoke at the World Press Freedom Day celebrations announcing the £15.5 million UK aid to help Ethiopia run transparent, free and fair elections in 2020.
