On 16^th January, H.E. Mr. Alistair Harrison, Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. Hailemichael Aberra Afework, in order to bid him farewell as he relinquished his appointment as Ethiopian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

On the occasion, Dr. Hailemichael stated “the prompt and friendly support I received from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ethiopia & Djibouti, from British friends of Ethiopia and from members of the Ethiopian community in the United Kingdom, have all been my pillars of support during my tenure. The United Kingdom remains Ethiopia’s dependable development partner, so the memory I take back with me will be one of pride at being able to contribute my share towards the consolidation of Ethiopia-United Kingdom relations.”
