Diaspora Account

To open a diaspora account, applicants must:

• Complete the application form provided by the embassy or banks.
• Submit a copy of a valid Ethiopian passport and a copy of a valid British residence permit or ID, or
• Submit a copy of a valid British passport and Ethiopian origin identity card if citizenship or nationality has changed.

Note: Upon receipt of these documents, the embassy will issue a letter of support addressed to the bank selected by the applicant.
