The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEB) has announced on Monday 28^th March the launch of its new website and the establishment of a press and public information unit.

The establishment of the website and unit form part of the Board’s efforts to provide the public with all the information they may require relating to the upcoming elections, which will take place on 15^th May 2005.

The website contains information about the organisation and operation of the elections, the legal framework behind it, and will provide regular updates about the electoral process.

The website was developed as part of a collaborative effort with the Electoral Reform International Services, which is coordinating donor funding for the electoral process.

The newly established press and public Information Unit will handle media related issues for the Board, as well as organise regular press conference sessions for local and international journalists.
